Your dog knows the basics. Now it's time to take those skills somewhere.

Canine Etiquette is a six-week Saturday morning class for dogs six months and older, meeting at The Family Dog in Millcreek. We go deep on the skills that matter in real life: loose leash walking, polite greetings, appropriate dog-to-dog interaction, and the canine body language that helps you understand what your dog is telling you before a situation escalates. Positive reinforcement only, always.

$325 / 6 sessions / Max 12 dogs Saturdays, 9:45 AM at The Family Dog, 4048 S 2700 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84124 Dogs 6 months and older. Puppy Preschool recommended but not required.
Vaccination requirements: three DHLPP vaccinations and Bordetella.
Cohort 1: May 30 – July 18, 2026 (skipping July 4 and July 11)
Cohort 2: August 1 – September 12, 2026 (skipping Labor Day weekend)
Puppy Academy

For puppies 10 weeks to 5 months old. Six Saturday sessions, limited to 12 puppies, positive reinforcement only.

Puppy Academy gives your puppy the foundation they need and gives you the skills to maintain it. We cover the essentials: sit, down, stay, leave it, recall, loose leash walking, wait at the door, plus the stuff nobody tells you about first: bite inhibition, impulse control, house training, and how to build a puppy who's genuinely confident rather than just compliant. Socialization with people and other puppies is woven throughout.

We start with a mandatory orientation session (just you, no puppy) so you walk into week one already knowing what to expect. After that, every class is hands-on, practical, and built to connect directly to your real life at home.
$325 for the full six weeks. Puppies must be current on age-appropriate vaccinations, including DHLPP and Bordetella. Rabies is not required for puppies too young to receive it.
The next cohort starts May 30th at The Family Dog, 4048 S 2700 East, Millcreek, Salt Lake City.
